Romer Labs offers HygieneChek™ dip slides which are an easy-to-use, reliable and economic microbiological testing system. It is a double-sided agar paddle which is used to detect and identify various microorganisms commonly found in food preparation areas, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

HygieneChek Yeasts & Moulds/Yeasts & Moulds is a Oxytetracyclin-Glucose-Yeast agar based dip slide which can be used within the food industry for the detection of yeasts and moulds. The only requirement for the cultivation of these organisms on the HygieneChek dip slide is an incubator.

Yeasts and moulds, such as Aspergillus niger and Brettanomyces bruxellensis can cause food spoilage and ruin crops, meaning a loss of production. The Oxytetracycline-Glucose-Yeast agar is bacteriostatic, and will produce better yeasts and moulds than agars that use low pH to control bacterial growth.

 

Storage: cool, dry, keep out of direct sunlight, storage temperature 15-25°C
