Potassium Iodate Starch Paper
For the rapid detection of sulphite and sulphur dioxide. This paper is used in food analysing laboratories.
Sulphurous acid or sulphites reduce potassium iodate to free iodine. With starch, iodine gives a characteristic blue-black colour. For a detection of sulphite with high sensitivity we recommend sulphite test paper (90763).
Store potassium iodate starch paper in a cool, dry place. Avoid exposure to sunlight and moisture.
